Characterised by historic streets, independent shops, galleries, cafés and a strong presence of creative agencies and studios, it combines neighbourhood character with a distinctly urban creative scene.
Its smaller galleries, courtyards and unexpected spaces offer an intimate setting for design beyond traditional exhibition formats. Within Design Season Cologne, the Belgisches Viertel becomes part of the route west through the city – connecting established creative culture with new places and perspectives along the way.
