A new chapter for LAUFEN begins in Cologne.

During Design Season Cologne, the Swiss bathroom brand opens the doors to its new LAUFEN Gallery Cologne in Rheinauhafen — making the festival week one of the very first opportunities to experience the new space.

Founded in Switzerland in 1892, LAUFEN has spent more than 130 years exploring the possibilities of ceramics, combining Swiss precision and craftsmanship with an international approach to architecture and design. Collaborations with designers including Patricia Urquiola, Konstantin Grcic, Marcel Wanders and Kartell have helped transform the bathroom from a purely functional environment into a space for material, form and individual expression.

Now, this design culture finds a new home in Cologne.

Located at Dock 6–10 in Rheinauhafen, directly overlooking the Rhine, the new LAUFEN Gallery creates a place for bathroom culture, material innovation, architecture and exchange. More than a traditional showroom, it becomes a new meeting point for architects, designers and everyone interested in how we will live and design tomorrow.

Its opening adds another permanent design destination to Cologne and a new chapter to the Rheinauhafen as one of the city’s most distinctive architectural districts.
